The additional drivers for your rental car must be present at the time of rental and show identification or a passport as well as a driving licence.

If the costs for the additional driver are not already included, the rental companies charge the fees either per day or per rental. You can find the fees in the rental conditions. In both cases, you can also have the additional driver entered in the rental agreement at a later date.

If the additional driver is not present right at the beginning of the rental, you can also have them entered later and even at another location of the same rental company. Please ask your rental company about this when you pick up your car and remember that the additional driver is not allowed to drive until he or she is registered.
